Sister James Anthony Messenger, SC, (Olive E. Messenger) of Mt. St. Vincent, Wellesley Hills, on October 30, 2014. A Sister of Charity (Halifax) for 74 years who was missioned in Quebec, Kelowna, BC, Renton, Washington, Cranbrook, BC, locally in St. Kevin’s, Dorchester, St. Patrick’s, Lawrence and Mount Saint Vincent, Wellesley. Beloved daughter of the late John and Winifred (Stone) Messenger. Sister of the late Dan, John, Paul, Ralph, Robert, Mary and Louise Messenger, Pearl Veseskis and Clare Whynot. Also survived by her nieces Patty Reed of South Boston and Donna Reed of Quincy as well as many other nieces and nephews. Visiting hours at Mt. St. Vincent, 125 Oakland St. Wellesley Hills on Monday November 3 from 9:30 – 10:30 am, followed by a Funeral Mass in Mt. St. Vincent Chapel at 10:45 am. Relatives and friends are invited. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Needham. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sisters of Charity, Mt. St. Vincent Community, 125 Oakland St., Wellesley Hills, MA 02481.
